An evening honoring the amazing Maria Manetti Shrem for all her incredible philanthropic work at @ucdavis and bringing the @manettishrem to life. Not long ago she was honored at the @sfopera, and brought on stage for a bow with the cast of La Traviata.

It was an honor to be asked to sing for this amazing human and all who were at the event at @mondavicenter! Thanks for coming in the ride @symphonos and for playing so beautifully with heart and soul! When the gut says yes, say yes! You never know where it will lead! More photos and video to follow!

Yesterday, connection was everywhere. Nature. Music. Long standing collaborations. Working with friends and knowing and being IN the community in which we are serving. (Swipe for cheesy selfies, matchy match outfits 👗 and last nights dinner as breakfast 🍳 ! 🤩)

Attuning to connection in all forms is a curious puzzle. Being Intentional in connection in all the ways in which it presents takes space and an open heart and mind. Like love, connection holds so much nuance, and for me, it’s imperative to feel into what that is in any given situation as shifts occur from within.

The inner work and explorin what we want and need in connection allows for compassion, growth and deepening connections when that is right for all involved. Sometimes the shifts may pull the connection in a less deep way, and the love and compassion it takes to listen to THAT call can be harrowing although the most compassionate of paths to follow.

Massive gratitude 🙏🏼 to @whatisrmp (@symphonos, this means you too!) @ryanmurrayconductor @jenny.darlingtonperson and @musicinthemountains for allowing me to connect as a family member, bringing ALL my joy (it’s a lot sometimes) and for you all amplifying it! ✨💗♾️
That’s where I do my best work. Where I can give the most while also filling my cup. When that connection is authentically reciprocated, this world can feel pretty limitless!

What is your gift? Your core purpose on this earth

What is your gift? Your core purpose on this earth 🌍? When do you most easily speak from your heart space ❤️?

For me it is through voice. Through singing rehearsing, connecting and playing, and even more so in vocal discovery for others. Emboldening others to take risks in safe spaces in order to unearth their voice in speech, prose, singing, acting and daily life. How does it actually feel to express authentically? To feel and know what your needs and wants are, and then bravely stepping out to ask. How do different emotions feel in your body and shift as expressed through your voice? This is my holistic approach to teaching voice. Mind, body, spirit. True embodiment. That is my calling on this earth.

“Io son l’umile ancella” is an aria that has always spoken directly to my old soul. Being the vessel for truth, love, kindness and compassion for self and others as we walk this life together!
